Our externship offers veterinary students the opportunity to gain immersive, hands-on experience in a progressive, AAHA-accredited hospital with a strong culture of mentorship and teamwork. Whether you're looking to deepen your clinical skills, learn about the business of practice, or simply explore what kind of veterinarian you want to be, our externship is tailored to support your goals.

🧑‍⚕️ What You'll Experience

  • Shadow and assist our experienced veterinarians
  • Participate in wellness care, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
  • Observe advanced procedures and gain insight into case management. Vet teaching
  • Learn how to provide exceptional client communication and service

📅 Program Details

  • Duration: Flexible; typically, 2–4 weeks
  • Location: Animal Medical Clinic – multiple practices in Melbourne, Florida area
  • Schedule:  Monday through Friday; no weekend, on-call or overnight duties
  • Start Times: Year-round availability; ideal for 3rd and 4th-year vet students
