Jeffrey S. Godwin, D.V.M.

Dr. Godwin graduated in the Charter Class at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. He has been practicing in Melbourne since 1981. Dr. Godwin enjoys small animal medicine and orthopedic surgery. He also functions as the Hospital Director for the practice. He is a past president of the Brevard County Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the Melbourne Rotary Club and is the Past Chairman of the Melbourne-Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Jo have an empty nest except for their Yorkshire Terrier, "Tebow". In his spare time he enjoys hiking, camping, and backpacking. Dr. Godwin was selected as the Florida Veterinarian of the Year in 2002 and has served as the Treasurer of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society since 2007.

Stephen M. Joiner, D.V.M.

Dr. Joiner is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He joined the practice immediately after graduation in 1984. Dr. Joiner's interests include small animal medicine, dentistry and general and orthopedic surgery.

Mike Thomson, D.V.M., Ph.D.

Doctor Thomson earned his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida in 1999. Upon completion of that degree, he entered the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. He has been with our practice June of 2003. Dr. Thompson’s focus is small animal internal medicine, with a special interests in cardiology and diagnostic ultrasound.

Robert Young, D.V.M.

Dr. Young graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. He also did his undergraduate work at the University of Florida, graduating with a B.S. in Animal Science in 2000. After graduating he completed an internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. He enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery.

Stephanie Carraway, D.V.M.

Dr. Carraway graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She was on our staff from 1996 to 2005, then rejoined our practice in 2007. Dr. Carraway enjoys small animal medicine, especially feline medicine.

Marcia Craig, D.V.M.

Dr. Craig graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She also did her undergraduate work at the University of Florida, graduating with a B.S. in Animal Science in 2002. Dr. Craig is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and enjoys incorporating acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine into her practice. She received her certification through the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine. She was born and raised in Melbourne and is happy to be back in her hometown.

Carrie Rodriguez, D.V.M.

Dr. Rodriquez graduated with high honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She also did her undergraduate studies at UF and has a BS in zoology. She joined our practice immediately after graduation and enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, especially internal medicine and oncology. Her immediate family includes her husband, Casey, her dog, Cosmo, and her horse, Beau. In her free time she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, riding her horse, and hanging out with friends and family.
